Quick Update

Thought I would give a quick update of what I've been doing the past couple months. . .
Back in may and june working at Blind Renaissance was a blast. I was working on three websites at once (Saint Laurent, Keyes Packaging and American Cameo). Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to totally complete them because of my new job at Giant Creative. I've been there for a couple months now and love it. I really have gotten to stretch my wings lately working with Goodbarry and the new Squarespace (version 5). I've been gaining a lot of knowledge coding xhtml and css and they never seem to get old to me. I have discovered a lot of new page optimizing and seo tricks that I am very excited about. I've also been digging further into javascript (mainly Jquery). And yes this website is almost always the guinea pig so if you see anything funky on here, sorry in advance I'm probably playing around with something.

Lately in my spare time I've managed to created a website for an Investment company on Wall street, New York. Exciting! And have done a bit of print work for the University of Washington.

More to come soon. . . I promise!

Design Show

Went to Western Washington University last weekend to check out the new crop of Senior's at the annual Design show. It brought back a lot of good memories of late nights, high hopes and no rules!

Don't make me think

Finished reading this book a while back. I highly recommend it. What's the book all about? How people really use the web, sixty miles an hour.

Picked up a copy of "Art of Modern Rock" a bit ago. All I have to say is AWESOME! A huge book packed full of Band posters from the past 15 years.

Can't say it any better than the guys at Amazon,

Bulletproof Web Design

By Dan Cederholm Excellent book. Read it if you are interested in learning about creating websites the proper way using xhtml and css and how to make them as simple and flexable as possible. Dan’s writing is a bit funny at parts making an otherwise dry subject more appealing to. You should definitely check it out if you are interested in this sort of stuff.
